History
Founded in Fall 2025 by a group of Bauer finance students with Dr. Berta as faculty advisor — the first and only SDP university chapter to date.
The discipline
What is Decision Analysis?
Decision analysis is a structured approach to choosing well under uncertainty. Rather than arguing toward a preferred answer, practitioners separate the decision into parts: the frame, the alternatives, the information, the values and trade-offs, the logic, and the commitment to act. Together these form the six requirements of Decision Quality.
It is used wherever the stakes are high and the future is unclear — capital projects in energy, drug portfolio decisions in pharma, market entry in strategy consulting.
